A whole-house system treats water where it enters the home, so every shower, faucet and washing machine gets it. In Laredo that means chlorine and chloramine, the disinfection byproducts that come with them, sediment, and the hardness that comes with river water. Azul+ handles all of it in one tank; UV adds a barrier for bacteria.

Laredo treats Rio Grande water with chlorine to make it safe to distribute. The chlorine and its byproducts ride along to your house. These are the readings I see most on the free test.
You smell it in the shower and feel it as dry skin and hair. Carbon stages in Azul+ adsorb it at the entry, so it never reaches a tap.
Trihalomethanes (TTHMs) and haloacetic acids (HAA5) form when chlorine reacts with organic matter in river water. Both are on the EWG list for Laredo. Carbon reduces them; RO at the sink finishes the job for drinking water.
Grit from mains work and old lines. It scratches valves and clogs aerators and fridge filters. A sediment stage ahead of everything else keeps it out.
Laredo has had boil-water notices. A UV Disinfection unit after the filters is a chemical-free barrier that keeps working through a notice. NSF/ANSI 55 certified.
Six stages in one high-capacity unit at the main line, with twice the filtration of a traditional system. Sediment, carbon and softening together: removes chlorine, chloramine, chemicals and odor, and softens the water at the same time. Sized to your test and the people in the house.
Ultraviolet light inactivates bacteria, viruses and cysts without adding anything to the water. Goes after the filters so the lamp stays clean. Recommended for wells and for anyone who wants a barrier during boil notices.
Only need soft water? If your chlorine reading is low, the Azul Essentials softener costs less and does the job. The test tells us which.
Compare the softeners →Chlorine, hardness and TDS at your tap before we start, and again when we finish. You keep the sheet.
No subcontractors. The people who install your system are the ones who answer when you call a year later.
You get the number on paper after the test. Financing with no deposit is available on every system. No surprise on the invoice.
A softener exchanges hardness minerals so you stop getting scale and spots. A filter removes chlorine, sediment and chemicals. Azul+ does both in one unit, which is why it is the most common install in Laredo.
Laredo's water is already legal to drink. A whole-house system improves what you shower and wash in. For the lowest drinking-water numbers, add the A550 reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink. The two together are what I put in my own house.
At the main line, usually in the garage or by the meter. The valve needs a standard outlet and a drain. UV needs an outlet for the lamp. I check all three at the free test so there are no surprises on install day.
A correctly sized system has a small pressure drop you won't notice at the shower. The mistake is an undersized tank for a big house. Sizing to your flow is part of the test.
No pressure. No cost. 30 minutes at your home. We reply within 5 minutes during business hours.
