Laredo homes I test usually read 30 to 42 grains per gallon. The Water Quality Association calls anything over 10.5 “very hard.” I test your tap first, size an Azul Essentials or Azul+ to that number, and my own crew installs it in one day.

Hardness is dissolved calcium and magnesium. Laredo pulls its water from the Rio Grande, and by the time it reaches your tap it carries enough of both to do this to your house.
Those spots are minerals left behind when water dries. Same thing happens on the shower door, the faucet, and the coffee maker.
Scale coats the heating element, so the heater works harder and dies sooner. It narrows pipes and clogs aerators and valves.
Hardness minerals react with soap and leave a film. You use more soap, rinse longer, and still feel it on your skin.
Dishwashers, washing machines, ice makers and tankless heaters all run water through small passages. Scale is what fails them.
Sample from a Laredo home. A softener removes hardness; it does not lower TDS. For drinking water TDS, see the A550 reverse osmosis system.
If your water is hard but the chlorine reading is low, Essentials is the right buy. If chlorine, chloramine or odor show up in the test, Azul+ handles both in one tank.
High-capacity ion-exchange softener with twice the filtration media of a traditional unit, sized to your hardness reading and the number of people in the house. Removes the calcium and magnesium that cause scale, spots and soap film. Metered regeneration, so it only uses salt when it needs to.

Everything Essentials does, plus carbon stages that pull chlorine, chloramine, chemicals and odor out of every tap in the house. Same high-capacity tank, twice the filtration of a traditional system. This is the one most Laredo families end up choosing once they see their chlorine number.
"We had very hard water in our home and Azul Water Co helped us choose the perfect water treatment system. Installation was fast and clean, and the customer service was amazing. Our dishes, showers, and appliances already look better. Best water softener company in Laredo!"
"Azul is the best company I've ever worked with. Had other companies come to give me quotes and they were charging thousands of dollars. Met with Enrique and he beat all the prices by almost half with a way better system. If you're looking for a water system in Laredo TX, call Azul."
"Initially, Enrique came and tested our water which was very informative about what exactly is in our water. After recommending us a system, we ended up going with Azul + and the installation was very fast and clean. Overall, a genuinely amazing experience. Would 100% recommend Azul to anyone looking for a water system!"
If your test reads above 10.5 grains per gallon, your water is classified as very hard and a softener will pay for itself in appliance life and soap. Most Laredo homes I test read 30 to 42. Book the free test and decide with your own number.
It depends on your hardness and how much water your family uses, which is why sizing matters. Azul systems regenerate on demand, based on gallons used, not on a fixed timer. I'll give you an expected bags-per-month number at your test, and you can check it against reality after the first month.
No. A softener only exchanges hardness minerals. Azul+ adds carbon stages for chlorine and chloramine across the whole house. For drinking water, the A550 reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink is what drops TDS and the contaminants on the EWG list. Many homes run a softener plus the A550.
One visit, usually 3 to 5 hours. Water is off for part of that. My own crew does the work; I don't subcontract installs.
Keep salt in the brine tank and have the system checked once a year. Azul Care is our maintenance membership: we come out, check the valve settings, clean the brine tank, retest your water and swap any pre-filters. Ask about it at your test.
No pressure. No cost. 30 minutes at your home. We reply within 5 minutes during business hours.
